Getting Started
If the statistics are boring, then you’ve got the wrong numbers.
– Edward Tufte
This section explains how to use the handbook. It introduces the basic workflow, the structure of the chapters, and how the interactive components fit into the learning process.
You can read the book sequentially or jump to the method you need. Each chapter stands on its own, but the “Getting Started” pages explain the tools (Quarto documents, embedded computation, and Shiny apps) so you can navigate the rest of the handbook with confidence.
